The TeleCare user group held on the 27th November and was attended by more that 40 Delegates. The day went extremely well and judging by the feedback, was enjoyed by all of those who could attend.
The day started with an explanation of the role of Mill Systems in the continuing sales and support of Telecare. This was followed by a presentation from Summerside computers our chosen hardware partner, and demonstrations of new functionality. Dr White from Heartlands hospital said a few words about his new Laboratory Results Link.
After lunch the delegates were invited to participate in an open discussion to air any issues that they might have. In this Open Forum a number of interesting points were raised and these will hopefully help shape the future of TeleCare.
Of prime concern was the continuing development of the product and the handling of change controls. Mill is happy to let the users have a full say in the on-going developments. It was decided that all of the currently published change requests would be made available on the website. Users could then sign up for free usernames and passwords to allow them to access the forum. This is where the actual discussions will take place. A number of users have already signed up and the discussions are underway.
Mill Systems would like to take this opportunity to thank all of its customers who attended, in particular Dr White for kindly standing up and presenting. Mill would also like to thank staff members and colleagues at Summerside who worked hard to make the day a success.
We look forward to seeing you all at the next user group in November 2004
